Cosmetologists licensed in another state or country who cannot obtain a Florida cosmology license by endorsement may be able to obtain a license by examination.
Application requirements include the following:
CURRENT COSMETOLOGY LICENSE
Applicants must have their cosmetology license for at least one year prior to the application. You must submit a copy of your current license or authorization to practice from your state or country.
AGE
Applicants must be at least 16 years old or have received a high school diploma.
EXAMINATION
Applicants for a cosmetology license by examination must complete both portions of the examination within two years of their first attempt of either portion of the exam. HIV/AIDS COURSE
You must have completed the 4-Hour Initial HIV/AIDS within two years prior to submitting your application. Take your 4-Hour Initial HIV/AIDS Course now!
FEE
You must pay the required fee as provided in the application. However, military veterans, their spouses, and Florida National Guard members may be eligible for a fee waiver, fee reimbursement, and/or fee discount.
APPLICATION
